11:45am – 12:05pm Vanessa asks Austin did I miss anything last night. Austin says nothing. They start talking about gambling. Vanessa asks him if he has any relationship with any of the casinos? Austin says no he never gambles enough. Vanessa says that there are 16 fundamental personality types and each one plays poker the same way. Vanessa tells Austin if he likes gambling and wants to learn she will tell him what he needs to know and what books to read and practices. She says it will blow his mind.

12:10pm Bathroom – Vanessa and Austin head into the bathroom to talk. Vanessa says we could always rock, paper scissors for who goes? Vanessa asks if the twins are thinking one way or the other. Austin says not yet. Here’s the thing if we decided to make a move to keep Johnny Mac .. I could go to him and in his mind make a new “RockStars” .. me and him. Vanessa says okay, do you think he would buy it though with Liz? Austin says I don’t know. I feel like someone needs to make a rockstars move. He needs that otherwise he is going to go rogue. Especially with whoever comes back. Vanessa says maybe Julia? Austin says yeah maybe .. but I feel like he bonds more with me out there. Vanessa says yeah I also feel like he needs a bro. Austin says maybe that would give me the ear that Steve has with him. Vanessa says if you think it would work .. go for it. Austin says it could be a strategy to vote him out and if he comes back in. If I had nothing to do with it some how. A strategy to ensure him not coming after us. Meg joins them. They tell her they’re talking about gambling. Austin says I like the rock, paper scissors a lot. Vanessa says I kind of like it too. Austin asks how would we even set that up? Vanessa says we say that we’re torn either way and out of fairness this is the only way. Meg says it could make them both sour. Vanessa says the beautiful thing is we can’t get blamed if one of them comes back. Meg says I don’t know what either of them could say that would sway me either way. Vanessa says that’s exactly it .. I feel like I am choosing between 2 supreme powers of sh*t! Austin says oh my god! Vanessa says they both suck! Steve is a phony baloney and Johnny Mac is a wild card! Meg says who are we supposed to believe .. so like who cares. Austin says whoever is willing to throw it.. like get out of our way. Meg says I wouldn’t even believe it. Vanessa says I think Johnny Mac would throw it. Austin says you can’t manipulate the taxi driver (Johnny Mac). Vanessa says so the rock, paper scissors is a great idea. Meg says ideally it would be best to due it during the live eviction but they would never let us do it. Vanessa asks how are they going to stop us?! We could ask permission from production. Big Brother blocks the feeds.
12:15pm – 12:50pm Meg says we say you’ve both come out with the same stories so we are leaving up to fate. Its pretty bada$$! Austin says we should put bets on who throw rock. Johnny Mac will throw rock or paper. Steve will throw scissors. Meg says I feel like we throw a house meeting. Vanessa asks is James okay with it? Meg says he came up with flipping a coin. I think we do it tonight. Vanessa says Johnny mac is going to love it and Steve is going to hate it because he is a strategist. Vanessa asks who is going to tell Steve? Not it! Meg says Austin has to do it. He is the HOH, you don’t have a vote. We can hold a meeting to night and do it. Meg says it could be very successful and chill or it could go horribly wrong. Vanessa says what if instead we all give our word to not tell anyone who they’re voting for .. then no one knows who is staying or going. Meg says I think Steve’s brain will blow up .. and I don’t want his memory of Big Brother to be ruined. Vanessa asks what if one of them were willing to throw the HOH and go up next to the returning jury member? Meg says they’re going to say that anyway. I just don’t trust that at all. If I was in that situation I would be fired up even more to come out and win HOH. They continue to go back and forth how to decide what to do. Vanessa says Johnny Mac says he’s “done me dirty the whole game”. Meg asks how.. he hasn’t done anything. Austin says Johnny says we targeted his people .. how did we know they were your people you never told anyone! He doesn’t realize he’s been the bit*h to everyone. Everyone’s used him. Meg says maybe we do keep him then.. he hasn’t done anything but thinks he’s been doing us dirty. Meg says Steve said last night it would be polite if I asked for your vote. Meg says umm okay!? I guess its better than Johnny Mac.. he hasn’t even come up to me.
1:10pm James, Johnny Mac and Steve are now awake and in the kitchen. Julia wakes up and joins them. They talk about how Steve wonders around a lot at night. Steve says he’s always done that and says he and to have a lot of conversations with his RA (resident advisor) about it. James asks a lot of conversations with the police? James says when I get a girlfriend people on facebook are like WHOA!? What did you do to get James to say yes? Johnny Mac says he made a relationship facebook official once and it went downhill from there. Meg says I ain’t putting anything in writing till I get married.
1:20pm – 1:30pm HOH room – Austin wakes up Liz and tells her that they were just talking about either doing rock, paper scissors or just anonymously vote. Austin says its not in our best interest to do it but it is in Meg & James best interest. Austin says all I know is if Steve stays.. then everyone but the returnee is playing for us for HOH. But then again we never know… Austin says I don’t have a vote. That’s Vanessa. You guys don’t have to be on board with it. Liz says its probably in the gremlins best interest but not in ours.
1:40pm Vanessa talks to Steve. Vanessa asks if Becky won the veto, was I a backdoor? Last week if Becky won the veto during OTEV was I the backdoor? Steve says I don’t know. Vanessa asks well did you guys make the group before that? Steve says I don’t think so. I can’t say for 100% certainty. Vanessa leaves and heads back to the kitchen.

2:10pm Kitchen – Austin give nutrition / diet advice to the twins about rice, pasta, carbs, etc. Meanwhile in the living room – Steve and James are talking about watching the season when they get out.
2:15pm – 2:45pm Bedroom – James and Meg are talking. James tells Meg we’re doing rock paper scissors tomorrow. Meg says no we’re not. I don’t think its fair. There is something about it that just isn’t right. What we were thinking about doing is no one tells anyone what they’re doing. James says okay. Meg says I just don’t think the rock paper scissors will go over well. I think there is a chance we would all look like really horrible people. James says yeah you’re right. Meg says so you couldn’t even tell me which way you were voting. James says so this would actually be the first real vote. James says to decide I could take herpes medication and flip it. Okay HP227.. Meg says people are going to take it bad. James says but the simple fact of it is they’re just so even. Meg says people are going to be upset at the fact that the kids fate that’s life has been all about big brother is left up to rock paper scissors. James starts asking Meg questions about the days. Johnny Mac joins them. Meg says isn’t it crazy 28 days left. Meg tells Johnny no one really knows what they’re going to do. Johnny says if I figure out anything I will let you know. Meg says please do because we kind of feel like the outsiders this week.
2:55pm Kitchen – Steve talks to Jula and Vanessa. He says that he would never in a million years do survivor. It is way more physical. I am way more interested in the metal part of it than the physical aspect.

I am with you, I have given up watching and quite frankly, this is the first recap I have read this week. This season has failed the viewers, too many idiots left in the house. First time ever to give up on BB. So sad because this show use to be my guilty pleasure.
Another thought. Vanessa knows JMacs odds of staying are much less than 50/50. Rock, paper, scissors gives him better odds.

I think she wants Johnny Mac to stay to go after the Austwins, but she knows that the twins will not vote for him to stay and if she votes with James and Meg, she’ll be exposed as voting with the other side. Plus, it’s not even sure James and Meg would vote for Johnny Mac, he hasn’t even approached them for a vote. Steve is pretty much staying if she doesn’t push this rock, paper, scissors idea. It’s a gamble that might randomly favour Johnny Mac staying and she wants to bet on those odds…
Wait, at first I was mad. But now that I think about it, JMac does have more of a chance of staying by leaving it to luck i.e rock, paper, scissors or flipping a coin. The twins are NOT going to vote out Steve, and Vanessa would reveal her game if she goes to James and Meg this week, and tries to get them to keep Johnny. This actually makes perfect sense.
I’ve been gone off and on since Liz hoh. Then I checked back in today, wow glad I didn’t waste my time. My friends and I in my dorms were having little Thursday Hoh parties but now we are pretty much done. We like jmac the best and think production is giving clues to Liz about things; what she all of a sudden got a little bit brighter not buying it. Meg really YOU have been on the coat tails of James and are so clearly jealous of Jmac you said “he hasn’t done anything” really: look in the mirror you have done less than nothing. My girls and I also know when we see someone using someone else. Meg is not into James she already is getting in good with the Austwins. UGHHH None of them have had their backs to the wall like Jmac I would love to see how they would act if they did.

Second, I hope the returning Juror goes like like:
Part 1 – Jurors compete in a competition (puzzle, race, egg up a chicken wire (mini version so it’s quick))
Part 2 – Houseguests compete in the same competition, one houseguest wins
Part 3 – Winning Juror and winning houseguest run through the competition one more time to determine HOH.
Gives the juror a better chance of HOH upon their return. Adds a little more pressure as all the houseguests will want the houseguest that won part 2 to win ( so their plan to get the juror out will work ).

Austin belittling Jmac over his choice to be a dentist rather than a doctor is pathetic. He has no idea of the work required to be a dentist like it’s really easy. Austin believes his assumed popularity and fan base from this show will be a draw he can pitch to the WWE and finally launch his failed career. I’ m sure he has visions of the WWE begging him to join them. Even if he somewhat makes it in the short term, wrestlers age out way before a dentist who can retire whenever they choose. By the time Jmac retires, between natural aging, loss of muscle tone and sun exposure, Austin will be a shriveled mess of tats.

I want the next three Thurs to be double evictions. Epic chaos ensues. I wouldn’t mind Shelli and Becky coming back and Vanessa thinking she’s good and then they say ” fuck off Van, get be to steppin'” B/c I can’t take the possibility of Austin and Julia being final 2. Coup d’etat? I may just pull a coup d’gras on myself for watching a beautiful start to this season & it devolve into Vanessa being a little too emotionally manipulative. Ok that’s it, I am done. I choose tolerable people over game play. I despise Austin and Vanessa and Liz. I can admit when I was wrong, no amount of social or strategic or any game play justifies these muppets. The way Vanessa has talked about, used and treated Steve for a long time -as a disposable idiot at her service for any order or abuse- speaks volumes about her. Does it matter which one goes home? I am tired of JMac and his total lack of game and initiative, even when he is on the block. At least Steve is playing the game. If the twins and goblins can’t decide, they should just split the vote and let Vanessa be the deciding vote, which is exactly what Vanessa doesn’t want. It’s the only way this eviction means anything at all. Someone needs to get Liz out next week or the game is over. Liz needs to go, even before Vanessa. If the Austwins are not broken up next week, then at least one of them is guaranteed final 3.
I’m not so sure it’s that JMac is stupid or that he’s not had anyone to play with except the other side of the house. While he was being the willing pawn for the power side, the other side of the house was just sitting there watching another one of their number get picked off. Even the great mega fan Justin just lay around watching his side leave one by one until it was his turn. When that side of the house actually had a chance, could have formed a winning alliance with Becky, they whiffed.
If JMac had had some half thinking people to work with, I believe we would have seen a far different game.
I would argue that the BOTB sets the game up so that if one group of people keep winning HOH, the “other side” of the house has no chance to really get together because they are constantly battling each other to stay in the house. When James won the HOH, and the BOTB ended, the house dynamic changed dramatically, but JMac didn’t do ANYTHING to seize the opportunity and insert himself in any alliance. He whined about Clay going home. After Clay went home he whined about Shelli going home instead of branching out to work with Becky/goblins. The so called “other side of the house” was not an alliance that everyone agreed on, it was an alliance of necessity. This is what nobody in the house except Meg and James realize. They haven’t been working together since day one, they started out fighting against each other when Vanessa and Shelli were in power for 4 weeks. By the time the power shifted, the only people left were James, Jackie and Meg who were tight, and JMac/Becky who had tied their rafts to Shelli and Clay. Becky at least scrambled to get in with the goblins, but JMac did nothing but lament that Becky was on the block next to him. I blame the BOTB for creating this dynamic. The difference between the goblins, Becky and JMac is that everyone else did try to play the game and realign when needed. Maybe they didn’t approach him, but he is the one that needed to do the approaching.
Johnny Mac says he will let them know….I love Johnny Mac but come on you need their vote dude so say anything, it’s not like the goblins are some sort of master minds or that bright. Come up with something and get Vanessa on board and you stay! Time to take it up a notch especially since these people are resorting to rock, paper, scissors to do a vote! I am not a huge fan of Meg who really does nothing but at least she is saying the whole rock, paper, scissors is bs.
JMac is really stupid. Doesn’t he realize that Shelli, Jackie, Becky or Steve will be returning to the house. For JMac, it doesn’t matter who comes back into the house. Shelli would work with him, Jackie would work with the goblins, but she has bigger targets than JMac, Becky would work great for him, and if Steve comes back, it’s like this week never happened. Everyone else has someone they don’t want to see coming into the house.
The twins and Austin are going to control the votes after next week unless they are split up. James knows this, but he isn’t going to want to be the one to take out Liz unless he has to, so having JMac around to do it for him is good for him and Meg. Also, if Becky or Jackie come back and JMac stays, all of them have better odds at making it further than if Steve stays.
I think Vanessa also knows that she can’t win the game if she is final 4 with Austin and the twins. She would have to win that HOH or the POV to make final 3, and the only way she is taken to the finals is if she wins the final HOH. Liz and Julia will take each other over anyone else. Austin would take Liz. It is good for Vanessa to keep someone that will take out Liz for her. This is the obvious angle to work, but Johnny Mac is an idiot waiting to be told what to do. JMac is not in as bad a place as he thinks, if he just seizes the day and talks reason to people. He won’t though, he needs to be told what to do.

its sad i just check the recaps even though this is my favorite show and there is nothing on.. BB17 has become unwatchable. i was not crazy about Shelly and Clay but compared to Austin and Liz Cleilly looks like wesley and buttercup from princess bride. Victoria had a better game than Meg and Julia combined which is bonkers to say but its true. Jmac and steve I like but Mac took a trip to crazy town this week.. my guess is its the company he is keeping with the Schizo. and Steve needs the wizard to bring him some courage. James is Literally the dumbest player game wise to get this far.. who didn’t have derrick i can remember.. to keep my sanity i won’t even speak the other persons name.. all I say is thanks for nothing production because of YOUR MEDDLING she is still here 3 weeks past her expiration date. i need a drink IS IT JUNE YET BB18 ;}
As much as I dislike this cast, the fault really lies with poor production staff. It’s as if they don’t really understand the game of Big Brother and definitely don’t understand its’ fans. I mean c’mon, the casting director isn’t going to be finding actors for an Oscar worthy film any time soon. They’re lucky they got this gig I’m guessing. Please, please BB staff, learn the show you’re working for.
Why was Meg cast if she can’t do comps or mental comps thats a waste of a player? I get why Julia the other waste of space is in there because she is a twin but come on Big Brother Meg??
